What does payday cost you now?
Somebody sits down every pay run and counts hours off a page. They chase the days nobody wrote down, they take a man's word for a Tuesday three weeks ago, and they hope the total is right. That afternoon costs you something. So does getting it wrong.

Am I locked into a contract?
No. It's month to month with no auto-renew. Skip a month, use the free tier over a quiet season, come back when you're busy again — the app carries on clocking either way.
Is there VAT on top of the R500?
No. Diary SA isn't a VAT-registered vendor, so the invoice comes to R500 and that is what you pay. Nothing is added.
Is the free version a trial?
No. It's free for as long as you want it. You can clock unlimited staff at unlimited stations without paying anything — you just can't see past the last 14 days of records or export them.
Does the price change as I grow?
No. R500 a month covers unlimited employees and unlimited clock stations. Ten staff or three hundred, one gate or twelve, the price is the same.
What happens to my records if I don't pay a month?
Nothing is deleted. The account falls back to the free tier on its own — staff carry on clocking exactly as before, you just see the last 14 days and the exports switch off. Pay again and your full history is back the same day.
Where do the NFC tags come from?
The tags are physical hardware, so they're a once-off cost on top of the app. You can buy your own — that usually works out cheaper — or message us and we'll quote you and ship them. Either way we'd recommend a bright colour like red: a tag dropped in a field is much easier to find.
How do I pay?
At the end of the month we send you an invoice with a payment link on it. You make the payment and the account carries on. No debit order, no card stored with us, nothing that renews itself.
